The Kelp Forest is no longer a short side pocket. Its pilotable water now runs from 640 m to 3,000 m and its floor is wider, giving the map room for a real hunt instead of a quick detour.
Every Pearl shell has moved there. Shells are placed from a stable seeded scatter across the forest, with alternate resting spots, so the layout feels natural while remaining consistent between dives and reloads. Crystal fields are gathered there as well; the open column and the Sealed Grotto no longer compete for those resources.
The Kelp Forest's existing fauna stays in place. It is now the map for shells, crystals, kelp-dwelling creatures and charting progress — a reason to return even after the first passage through the Green Gate.
A Pearl Devourer now surfaces at a fixed place called the Pearl Thicket every six hours. Defeat it for one guaranteed Pearl: 60% Abyssal, 40% Leviathan. Its shell-bodied walk, attack and living pearl bolt are part of the same world-hunt presentation as the other scheduled Leviathans, and Dev Tools can force-spawn it for testing.
