A landed signature is meant to be felt now: every one of the Abyssal Arena's eight bosses costs 10 to 20 percent of your hull on a hit, scaling up tier by tier, plus a stun of roughly 0.8 to 1.2 seconds that stills your thrusters — a real cost for missing an already-telegraphed tell, never a hit from nowhere. Hiding behind the pit's own reef walls still heals you, but that heal now draws from a finite 175-point reserve for the whole fight rather than running forever, and camping the same spot too long stops fooling the boss — its hunt starts finding you for real.
Out in open water, all four World Leviathans pursue now, not just the two ambush hunters — the old safe range where you could sit just past their reach and fire forever is closed, they re-aim partway through their own telegraph, and a landed strike stuns same as an arena signature does. Caught without a rocket in the drum? The fire key still does something: a free half-damage bolt instead of a dead key, so showing up unarmed never means standing there doing nothing.
