Every claw already fitted in your claw slot is now read for three more numbers the instant something in the water needs hauling rather than scooping: reach (how far the grapple line can cast at all), reel speed (how fast it closes, in weight per second), and capacity (the heaviest single haul it can lift, full stop — over that and the line never goes out). The stock Utility Claw is already enough to land every haul in the water today; nothing about the arm is gated behind gear you don't yet own.
A haul sits fixed in the water like a landmark, fly into reach and the rim brightens, press T to cast. The line fires on a short, fixed beat, then reels in at your arm's own speed divided by the haul's weight, tugging your drone toward it the whole time — bring more arm to the same haul and it drags you around less. Stray too far from the haul mid-reel, or press T again on purpose, and the line snaps clean: the haul drops back to the seabed completely unchanged, ready to try again with no penalty beyond the time already spent.
Two wrecks exist to retrieve today — an early, small set the system is built to grow, not the whole of it — each granting a real part (MK-II Floodlamps, the Salvage Claw) plus the same +25 Pilot XP salvage already pays elsewhere. Full numbers, every claw's reach/reel/capacity, in The Salvage Arm.
