The three classes look like three machines now

The three pilot classes used to be the same AV-1 hull wearing three accent trims. They're three separate machines now, standing in the water: the Scout keeps the stock AV-1 “Lumen” shell, unaltered — one fin, one lamp pair, the drone every recruit already knows. The Hauler is a pressure boat: a free-flood casing over a long straight body, a conning sail with periscope masts sunk into the bridge, a cruciform stern-plane cluster and screw, a flat keel run the manipulator hangs off. The Salvager is an open working rig: a box truss with lightening holes, a cable drum aft, a glazed operator cab up front, a derrick with a running hook over the bow, and a cutting boom on its own slew ring.

Nothing underneath changed. The AV-1 shell you already know is still in there on every chassis — bolted in amidships as the Hauler's pressure module, slung inside the truss on the Salvager where the crew can reach every seam of it — so every hull, lamp, dome and claw you've fitted still lands exactly where it always did. Stats didn't move either: Calibration, class identity and every number on the Rig's Status tab read exactly as they did before this landed.

Pick a class at Pilot Level 5 the same way you always have — the ceremony still shows your own drone three times over, everything the choice changes laid out before you commit. What's different is that the choice now changes the machine standing in the water in front of you, not just a livery stamped on one shape.

The three chassis
A drone, flown light.

Scout

Fast and far — first eyes on everything down here.

ChassisStock AV-1 “Lumen,” unaltered — one shell, one fin, one lamp pair. The other two classes carry this same shell; only the Scout is it.

Plays likeYou cover more water than anyone and creatures barely clock you coming — just don't expect the hold to keep up with your pace.

A pressure boat, low and heavy.

Hauler

Big holds, steady currents — you bring the whole field home.

ChassisA pressure boat. Free-flood casing over a long straight body, a conning sail with the bridge sunk into it, planes and a screw at the stern, a flat keel run the manipulator hangs off. The AV-1 shell is bolted in amidships as the pressure module — refit it and the boat is still a boat.

Plays likeEvery trip is a payload run: slower off the mark and heard from further away, but nothing you find gets left in the water.

An open working rig.

Salvager

Nothing sealed stays sealed. You open what others swim past.

ChassisA working platform. Box truss, drum aft, glazed cab forward, a derrick with a running hook over the bow and a cutting boom on a slew ring. The AV-1 shell hangs inside the frame where the crew can reach every seam of it. You can see straight through this machine.

Plays likeYou crack open more of the map than anyone else — the hull runs thinner and the cell takes its time, so pick your fights.
