The crown is not ornament and not armour: it is a cast of the chamber, laid down in courses year on year until the animal and the rock it was sealed in are the same shape. Prise it free and the underside is a negative of a grotto ceiling nobody has stood in. It does not defend the crown. It defends the space underneath it, which is empty, and which it keeps empty.

A Leviathan-tier catch needs at least a Heavy-Gauge Net— anything under that rating can never hold it, whatever the throw. Bought at the Quartermaster’s counter for 850 crystals. A held net inks this entry for good and pays its ledger bonus on the spot.
