Field record
It only moves on the incoming surge, letting each wave shove it a little further up over the rock shelf, bell contracting once per swell like a small pulse timed to the sea. On the ebb it goes slack and lets the backwash take nothing from it. I have watched it claim the same three meters of reef a dozen times and never give an inch back.

Catching it
A Coastal-tier catch needs at least a Fine Mesh Net— anything under that rating can never hold it, whatever the throw. Bought at the Quartermaster’s counter for 90 crystals. A held net inks this entry for good and pays its ledger bonus on the spot.
