It lives wedged sideways into the narrowest gutter in the reef face, a gap barely wider than its own head, and holds there by tensing against both walls at once rather than gripping with fins. Only the eyes and the leading third of the body ever show, swiveling to track the drone while the rest stays committed to the crack. Startle it and it reverses straight back into the dark, faster than it ever came out.

A Coastal-tier catch needs at least a Fine Mesh Net— anything under that rating can never hold it, whatever the throw. Bought at the Quartermaster’s counter for 90 crystals. A held net inks this entry for good and pays its ledger bonus on the spot.
