Swaybell Jelly
Campanula frondis
Twilight18 cm bell · Drifting · sheltered
Field record
It never leaves the still water on the sheltered side of a kelp column, riding the sway of the whole forest rather than swimming through it, so that the bell keeps perfect time with the plants around it. In open water beyond the treeline I have not logged a single one.
Marginal note: “keeps to the lee side of the columns”
Habitat
ZoneThe Kelp Forest
Depth range640–3,000 m
DiscoveryNo special condition — found simply by piloting close enough to identify it.
Catching it
A Twilight-tier catch needs at least a Fine Mesh Net— anything under that rating can never hold it, whatever the throw. Bought at the Quartermaster’s counter for 90 crystals. A held net inks this entry for good and pays its ledger bonus on the spot.
