Glasspane Jelly
Speculunda tenuis
Twilight34 cm bell · Drifting · translucent
Field record
Its bell bends light so evenly that from most angles it isn't there at all, just a faint bruise in the water where the background doesn't quite line up. I only find it by waiting for the single beat where the pulse throws a shadow across itself, a half-second confession before it goes unlit again.
Marginal note: “looks like a flaw in the water until it moves”
Habitat

Depth range600–1,300 m
DiscoveryNo special condition — found simply by piloting close enough to identify it.
Catching it
A Twilight-tier catch needs at least a Fine Mesh Net— anything under that rating can never hold it, whatever the throw. Bought at the Quartermaster’s counter for 90 crystals. A held net inks this entry for good and pays its ledger bonus on the spot.
