Quarter-Moon Jelly
Lunula quadrans
Twilight24 cm bell · Drifting · cyclical
Field record
It shows up in loose drifts that seem tied to some rhythm longer than the tides I already track, present for a handful of days and then entirely absent for what feels like a season. The bell is marked with a single pale crescent, as if someone had already logged its schedule and left the one clue I haven't cracked.
Marginal note: “keeps a schedule none of us have cracked”

DiscoveryNot in the water on any given day — tied to a rotating local calendar, present roughly one day in a handful.
Catching it
A Twilight-tier catch needs at least a Fine Mesh Net— anything under that rating can never hold it, whatever the throw. Bought at the Quartermaster’s counter for 90 crystals. A held net inks this entry for good and pays its ledger bonus on the spot.
