Field record
The lure came first: one warm bead hanging in absolute black, so steady and so kind that I had the drone halfway toward it before I understood what I was doing. The face resolved around that light at four metres, and I have never seen a lamp so willing to be mistaken for company.
Marginal note: “lure warm-amber — never blue”

Catching it
A Midnight-tier catch needs at least a Braided Net— anything under that rating can never hold it, whatever the throw. Bought at the Quartermaster’s counter for 300 crystals. A held net inks this entry for good and pays its ledger bonus on the spot.
